INSEAD, the Business School for the World, has earned a new distinction showcasing its world-class calibre in publishing exemplary case studies. Fourteen INSEAD cases are recognised among the most popular cases distributed worldwide by The Case Centre over the past 50 years, with six of them ranking in the top 10, more than any other school.  

The news was announced on Monday, 12 June when The Case Centre, the top global organisation dedicated to promoting the case method in management education, celebrated Top 50 cases in 50 years, as part of its 50th anniversary.

INSEAD Professors Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne, the #1 global bestselling authors of Blue Ocean Strategy, have received a new award in the 2022 EFMD Case Writing Competition.

Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne, Professors of Strategy at INSEAD and Co-Directors of the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, have won the best case award in the category “Bringing Technology to Market”, alongside with Oh Young Koo, Institute Executive Fellow at the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, for their case “Innovate Storytelling: How WEBTOON Entertainment Transformed Comics”.

Leading figures from business, academia, the arts and foreign affairs gathered at the Lincoln Center in New York City on 7 March to honour W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne as well as Harvard Business School’s Michael Porter and Clay Christensen as the four leading thinkers for the global impact of their research and ideas.

Two of INSEAD’s professors and one of its alumni have been recognised in the Case Centre’s Awards and Competitions 2023. This marks a significant achievement as the school has now won the Marketing category for a record tenth time since the launch of the Awards.

The Case Centre’s Awards and Competitions celebrate worldwide excellence in case writing and teaching at business schools around the world, and are considered the case method community’s annual ‘Oscars’.
