Covid-19 Champions: Safisah Rahim & Faidah Rahmad, Executive MBA Programmes

At the beginning of the pandemic, Safisah, Programme Manager and Faidah, Programme Coordinator, led the way implementing dual delivery of classes for our executive MBA participants. The duo worked across programmes, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best possible experience for our participants.

In September, they pioneered the first programme back on the Asia Campus following the lockdown in Singapore, when they welcomed our GEMBA’22 class on campus. Faidah and Safisah also played a key role in the delivery of the first-ever hybrid Global Executive MBA graduation for the class of GEMBA’21 last January.

Despite the added pressures of the past year, they have maintained the same high level of professionalism, complete with a smile throughout.

Thank you, Safisah and Faidah!

Covid-19 Champions: Kaleem Sardar and Albert Roman, Campus Services, Middle East Campus

“Kaleem and Albert have worked non-stop throughout the pandemic – taking the bus to work each day – to ensure a safe and operational environment for our Middle East Campus community.

Kaleem, Senior Housekeeping Supervisor, has implemented an extensive sanitisation programme and best cleaning practices, so we can safely welcome students, staff and faculty returning on campus. His hard work has been pivotal in getting the authorities’ approval to keep campus open since June 2020.

Albert, Maintenance Supervisor, has ensured safety for our community by optimising air quality on campus. To achieve this, he has undertaken the complicated tasks of conducting preventive maintenance of the air filtration system and reconfiguring ventilation to maximise circulation of fresh air.

Kaleem and Albert have achieved all of this despite reduced resources and without compromising the health, safety, and quality of services on campus.

Thank you, Kaleem and Albert, for your unwavering dedication to our community!

Our Covid-19 Champions series highlights some individuals you may not be aware of, who have been working hard behind the scenes to support and implement various initiatives to keep our community safe, while allowing the business school for the world stay in business. However, being one of the few schools able to offer in-person education during this past year would not have been possible without everyone in our community making sacrifices and committing to the cause. Thank you all for being Covid-19 Champions!
